Genuine OEM Lochinvar DRV2400 Drain Valve, 1/4″ (100233423)

This is an Genuine OEM Lochinvar 1/4″ Drain Cock Valve used in EnergyRite (model ERN/ERL) pool & spa heaters, which provides a controllable manual drainage point for the heater, allowing water to drain out of the copper heat exchanger tubes. This is a crucial function for winterization, if water is left inside the heat exchanger in freezing temperatures, it will expand, crack the copper tubes, and ruin the heater. Opening this valve drains that residual water. It also provides an outlet to flush out mineral scale, sediment, or debris that accumulates inside the heater over time.
