Spa water typically needs a full replacement every 3–4 months, or sooner, depending on usage. Filters should be cleaned monthly and replaced as recommended by the manufacturer, often every 1-2 years.
Some can, but concentrations differ. Spas are smaller and warmer, so chemical reactions happen more quickly. Always follow the packaging dosage for spas, and use spa-safe formulations to avoid damage or irritation.
Keep calcium hardness in the correct range (typically 150–250 ppm), balance pH (around 7.2–7.8), and maintain proper total alkalinity. Use scale inhibitors when needed, and ensure good circulation and heating controls.
