This is the Protek Shield assembly used as a replacement on Raypak Heaters that came with the ProTek shield built into manifold or on the sch. 80 CPVC Tee found in the Protek adapter kit. It is used to replace the worn out anode which erodes over time. It is not used to adapt/upgrade an older heater, you will need to buy/install the adapter kit which comes with sch. 80 CPVC Tee, split unions, andProtek Shield assembly .
