This next-generation formulation creates an attractive, highly durable, non-slip surface suitable for both above-water and below-waterline applications. Tuff Coat® is ideal for splash pads, kiddie and wave pools, spray parks, natatoriums, restroom floors, deck surfaces, and other high-traffic areas where safety is critical and performance cannot be compromised. Tuff Coat is a single-component, flexible, low odor, water-based non-skid coating. Once cured, it forms a seamless, resilient surface that helps hide minor surface imperfections while enhancing bare or existing non-skid surfaces to improve overall safety. Its low-odor, water-based formulation allows for simple soap-and-water clean-up, making it well suited for use in occupied or sensitive environments. The Tuff Coat® 100 Series and 300 Series have been discontinued and consolidated into the new Next-Generation Tuff Coat formulation. Tuff Coat® is available in 17 standard colors in one-gallon and five-gallon pails. Consolidated base colors can be intermixed to create hundreds of custom color options, delivering design flexibility while reducing SKU complexity.
Tuff Coat’s flexible finish dries to 30-35 mils of thickness creating a finish that hides significant imperfections on all surfaces as well as improves existing non-skid finishes to provide additional safety. Tuff Coat non-skid coatings must be applied by Tuff Coat rollers: Tuff Coat rollers are designed to ensure a uniform finish and proper dispersion of the rubber granules.
