(R-0002) DPD Reagent # 2 – Genuine Taylor Technologies Replacement

Taylor® R-0002 DPD Reagent #2 is used in combination with other reagents to measure free chlorine and bromine levels. It is a liquid reagent used as the second step in the DPD colorimetric process to measure free chlorine and total bromine levels in pool & spa water, providing clear colorimetric results for effective water sanitization. It is typically used in the DPD method by adding a specific number of drops (often 5) after DPD #1 has been added to the test vial. When added to a water sample, it reacts with residual chlorine or bromine, turning the water a shade of pink; a deeper pink indicates higher sanitizer levels. It is typically used in conjunction with Taylor R-0001 (DPD Reagent #1) to determine free chlorine levels and Taylor R-0003 (DPD Reagent #3) to calculate total chlorine.
