PROtech 1” Chlorinating Tablets are a slow dissolving form of stabilized chlorine called trichloro-s-triazinetrione (trichloroisocyanuric acid), commonly known as “trichlor”. Trichlor is a highly concentrated source of chlorine and is primarily used to disinfect and sanitize pool water. This product dissolves slowly and completely in water and is particularly suited for continuous dosing. Trichlor reacts with water to sequentially release three molecules of hypochlorous acid, the active killing form of chlorine. PROtech 1” Chlorinating Tablets are a 1/2 oz. stabilized slow dissolving chlorine tablet with 90% available stabilized chlorine and 99% active ingredient. This tablet will leave no residue when totally dissolved in water. Ideal for floaters, skimmers, or almost any automatic chlorine feeders.  PROtech 1” Chlorinating Tablets are available with childproof easy-open lids in 5 lb. pails and 25 lb. buckets.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Superchlorination is necessary at the beginning of the bathing season, whenever the pool is filled, every week during hot weather, and following heavy wind or rain.
  • Superchlorinate with a suitable granular product by following directions on that product’s label.
  • Keep pump-filter system running for at least 10 hours after treatment.
  • DO NOT reenter pool until chlorine residual drops to 1-3 ppm.
  • APPLICATION:
    • Dispense this product in an appropriate floating or stationary device, such as an automatic chlorinator.
    • Fill the feeder with this product and adjust the feeding mechanism to provide a continuous level of 1-3 ppm free available chlorine as determined by a test kit or test strips. Always follow feeder manufacturer’s instructions.
    • Normally, about 2 ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of water will be needed daily. Chlorine demand will vary with weather and degree of pool use. Feeding device should be checked regularly and refilled as needed.
      • Caution: This product may cause damage to vinyl liners or other bleachable surfaces with direct contact.
• MAINTENANCE TREATMENT:
  • Ensure all pool equipment and systems are in proper working condition. Adjust and maintain pH in the range of 7.2 to 7.6.
  • Use a suitable granular product to establish a free available chlorine residual of 1-3 ppm.
  • For maximum effectiveness, first stabilize the pool with 25-35 ppm of Cyanuric Acid to reduce chlorine loss in sunlit pools.
  • Follow APPLICATION instructions.
  • This product introduces chlorine and additional Cyanuric Acid into the pool to assure a stabilizing effect.
